Neither looks correct for me. Things jut out of their containing boxes and the background repeats a bit on the right.

Firefox 1.5.0.4, Ubuntu Linux, 1600x1200 resolution.

I like how the background color comes into the design and seperates header from body and menu from body on the current one. But the menus look nicer on the new one.

Yup, works just fine for me in FF. It seems your fonts are bigger than they are suppose to be.

hmm yea, as I scale down the fonts it begins to look proper. I bet it wants those Microsoft fonts or something..

Okay, I think I fixed the display problem, I also took the liberty to re-skin the index so it can be compared to the current one on even grounds.

Still a couple of little display issues for me in both.

    Current one:

(I'm assuming everything should line up here)

I prefer the new design, though. Looks pretty good if you fix that one issue.

The second one gets my attention better even though it isn't as "clean" as the first one.

Interesting. I think those are your browser settings... Ive never seen that happen... ever. The textboxes seem too wide, so they stretch the layout.

    What OS/browser do you use?

Ubuntu 6.06, Firefox 1.5.0.4, maximized window at 1600x1200 resolution. I have the MS fonts installed, and my settings are fairly stock :dunno:
