Which budget computer to buy?

    Hey guys, tryin to help out a friend with what budget computer to buy. They will just be doing some internet surfing, word processing, movie watching and maybe some cd burning.

    These are the choices I have.

    btw these prices are canadian. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, he wont really be downloading things such as movies/mp3's. He will be copying cd's and watching dvd's. I could get the semperon 2600+ changed to a 3000+ for another $20. Would that make option #1 better?

    should i get a 3000+ or 512 ram? which would be better performance wise?
