which brand of creatine is most effective?

    i've been leaning toward joe weider's creatine but i have no idea which brand people actually find most effective :dunno:

    could i have some ppl's insights :x:

    creatine should be taken after workout?
    alot of ppl say before, some say during, some say after. so its definitely after?

    I just got a couple tubs of some MRM monohydrate, gonna start on it tomorrow.

    Never used creatine, currently on caseinate protien shakes in morning and before bed, and going to be adding whey protein to post-workout creatine shake. Any suggestions on this stuff? Says take 1 scoop 5 times a day for first 5 days, then 1 a day afterward :dunno Just pound it with whey and something sweet after a workout, yeah?

    When you're taking it regularly I'd say it doesn't matter. I've taken it post workout for a month and then just taken it in the morning (9-10 hours before workout) for a month and I didn't notice any difference.

    Some people are non-responders to creatine anyways, so i won't matter when you take it.

    Im a firm believer that Creatine should be taken AFTER your workout. the best way I can explain it is:

    taking it before your workout is like throwing water on a newly paved street with no cracks or pot holes, the water will just sit on top and not go anywhere and dry up.

    if you throw water on a street with cracks and holes the water will find its way to those cracks and holes and fill them up. Same goes for creatine and your muscles. Mkes more sense to take it after.

    This is on the notion that plasma levels of creatine peak 1 hour after ingestion. So unless your workouts take for much longer than 1 hour...this has you covered post workout.

    loading is a marketing scheme to get you to buy more creatine
