    what class of pickup?

for compact, it's hands-down toyota... but they're not one of the big 3 (although they're the 2nd largets auto manufacturer world-wide).

for fullsize, it depends. What class? 150(0), 250(0), 350(0)? What years?

wouldn't you consider a rebuilt tranny to be more than minor maintenance? Even for 200k miles.
