    edit:
Alright Im set on an auto now so my options have been changed slightly. Im now torn between the 3550, 2550 mini reflex, or the 9051 AFO-II. I guess the pros and cons are that the AFO-II is pretty thick from what I understand and I will have the knife in my back pocket and I dont want a knife that will remind me its there when Im sitting down all day. The 3550 IMO has an amazing appearance and also seems pretty slim but I dont know much about the spearpoint blade and it also lacks a lot of gripping features, but that may also help with the appearance. The 2550 seems like the best of the 3550 and the 9051 with the more traditional drop point, but Im not sold on its looks. I just think the 3550 looks amazing. What does OT think of the spearpoint/the 3550. What do you think about my options?

    Thanks

I would be spitting nails if I broke or lost a $160 knife.

I love my afo via bigbadjohn, but seeing its questionable legality, its really up to you. I prefer the ritter version of the grip personally, better steel Doug_Ritter_RSK_Mk1_Folding_Knife

Griptilian as well. But don't pay $90 for it.... should be $70 at the most.

id go with the auto if it was between those two, but for an everyday work knife i would go with the mini rukus.

Why would someone not want a serrated blade?

I'd probably get the Mini Grip, but $90 seems awfully high. You could almost get the Doug Ritter version with S30V for that.

I'm quite partial to the BM 710 myself, though:

I got the Cabela's exclusive Griptillian 551 with D2 tool steel. It's been great so far and the best knife I've owned. Auto is not an option, but you can open the grip almost as fast with a flick of the wrist.

i'd take the 551 just because i can't carry an auto here.

that said, if you want a fast knife get something with a wave.

    wave >>>> auto.

The Emerson wave, which has been licensed by Spyderco, is a feature that will open a knife as you draw the knife from your pocket.

    Delica Wave:

And it doubles as a handy bottle opener!

Why? The hook isn't sharp at all, and since the blade doesn't deploy until it's almost out of the pocket, there's no risk of cutting your pants.

That said, any AXIS lock Benchmade with S30V is going to be a good knife, like the 943 you asked about. My current EDC is a 930.
