    Speer Gold Dot, Hornady TAP, Remington Golden Saber, Federal Hydra-Shok, etc etc etc.

    then theres 124gr, 147gr, +P, etc etc

    It's not the be-all-end-all test, but it is good information. From shooting them at things myself they perform surprisingly well, better than much much more expensive ammo that is marketed as "personal defense" actually. Very consistent.

    Sometimes I use that as carry ammo, sometimes the 124 grain hydrashock, got dot +p... I like to try different ammo, and I don't like letting it sit too long, mostly because I shoot the gun at the range ALOT, so the extractor rings get torn up on my carry ammo pretty quickly from ejecting it for ball, so I'll just empty the mag of carry ammo to prevent any possible FTE's from it...

    I have been reading good things about Federal's EFMJ ammo. It doesn't get clogged by fabric or other material it passes through and expansion seems to be pretty consistant.

    did you see that link to the box of truth? the hydrashok passed through the denim, and got denim stuck in the cavity, and never expanded :eek3:
