I'm helping my cousin put some 10"s in his car. His old 12" pyles didnt cut it.
The budget is about 170 total for the subs. We'll be using a 2 channel 1000w amp. So I am just wondering what speakers to go with, right now we are set on the Audiobahn dub100s. Any comments on these? Does anyone know about rockfords or mtx, or any other brand 10" that really sounds good? Possibly the new kicker comps? Maybe a vr for the right price. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Don't get audiobahn if you care about SQ. There are no brands that "really sound good" for $170 for 2 subs.

JL 12 or 10w0s? They are good subs, but a little more than you are wanting to spend. Save your pennies, and you wont regret some JL's.

    for 170, you can get 2 12 MTX 8000s off ebay. (80/ea)

i'm running xtant 1001x (1000w/1ch) to them and they sound GREAT.
check out the website, and check them out in person...built solid. dual voice 400/800w.

ebay! dont settle for audiobahn crap. sure its loud but very muddy, loose bass. the suggestions above are good ones. if its a little above your budget new, look on ebay.

If i was u i would go on Ebay and find a set of the old school kicker solo baracs... not the square ones but the round ones... Those are some of the nicest 10" subs ever made. I have 2 friends that have those in their cars and both sound supurb. U can find them for less then $100 per sub on ebay.
