Just curious, should I stick to haven a shake before and after workout or should I take one before work too? I do heavy labour (floor installing).

Also, on my days off from the gym should I continue to take them or no?

I take one about an hour or two before working out and right after. I also take them on my days off, one in the AM for breakfast and when ever I feel like taking the other one.

i think it'd be good if you take it before work too. if i get your question right, taking it before work, before lifting, and after lifting sounds beneficial. 3 scoops for the day isn't that much. and yes take it on your offdays too. just because you don't lift doesn't mean you don't need protein. i'd aim somewhere in the 50%-75% of your whey intake on rest days compared to lifting ones.

protein is protein. This isnt like its a magical drink guys.

You take it like you would take food and its meant to supplement your diet where solids are unavailable or inefficient.

Just like eating before and after working out. Its all the same.

Try to take in 1-1.5 g of protein per lb of bodyweight per day. Of that, 50% should be solids.

That's true, my wife is a dietitian and if you don't cycle off of it and what not it can cause problems in your system.

    Just like anything else.

Maybe if you're talking about 500g a day or something... But otherwise...

You may as well just cycle off food altogether too.
