I want to start adding whey to my smoothies.

    They usually consist of:
    mixed berries
    skim milk
    bit of plain yogurt
    some plain oats
sometimes ice depending on my mood

What kind of whey should I buy? I'm a total noob and know nothing about it. :hs:

Sounds like you could get by with an unflavored considering you're already drinking smoothies.

In that case since you're less caring about flavor than those (including myself) who are just mixing with water, you should get the most reasonably priced unflavored whey you can.

Someone has posted about unflavored before..

EAS vanilla that they sell at costco is actually really good, especially in my smoothies (which are almost exactly like yours). highly recommended.

    6lbs for $30

i think the costco protein would be ideal for you. its a protein mix. whey, egg, soy and maybe casein.

    6lbs for 30 i believe. good price

    i suggest that

im so upset that costco got rid of their whey protein and replaced it with that EAS blend.

    Oh Hiya!
I got a question for you guys instead of making a new thread.

I just recently got some Whey protein (vanilla) at NC :HS:. I can't stand the taste of it.

It says to use 28g for 8 fl. oz of water. So when you make a smoothie, obviously it's larger than 8 fl oz (at least when I make em)

So do you just put one scoop in still?

Besides smoothies, since they take time to make and extra ingredients (which equal money), is there any other way to make this stuff taste better? :o

use as much as you want :dunno:

if you hate the taste that much, you could try mixing it with something flavored and water (like powdered gatorade or crystal light if you're not trying to add calories)
throw some yogurt in there or fruit juice, too

6 lbs for 30 bucks but take into account it takes 2 scoops to get 27 grams and only 1 scoop of ON for what 25 grams? And if you care it has a decent amount of soy protein. I used it for a while cause somebody was buying it for me then I went back to ON and dont know what I was thinking using that costco shit for so long... ON is so much smoother and better tasting
