My buddy is going to buy an SKS soon. HE needs some reputable online sites to order from since CA prices suck big time.

Also, do you know any places that do deals like, buy 2 get some percent off, if the price is right i may consiter buying one as well (i am low on funds now, but if the price is right..).

Also, he wants to put on another stock, i am trying to convince him otherwise. But what are some sites with aftermarket stuff for SKS's.

    thanks for the help.

I ordered an unissued 59/66 from them for $155 shipped to my door. This included the CA conversion for free. If your friend has a C&R FFL I/O is one of the few suppliers that will ship a 59/66 to CA.

Should be all of them. Usually, they'll be guns on sale that they don't advertise in the paper.

There was a gun show this sat. There was 1 SKS in the whole show, at 400 bucks for a Russian SKS, talk about a rip off.

And the big 5 near me has mosin Nagants, but no SKS's

a lot of them have been bubba'd up w/synthetic stocks and scopes on mounts that don't hold zero well. if he wants a wood stock and inexpensive, the yugo is the way to go. if he just wants an sks, one of the "sporterized" variety common to gunshows will do the trick. i'm thinking of getting one of bubba's creations just for grins. don't forget to tell your friend to poke around at survivor's sks boards and surplusrifle.com if he wants to read up on them.

www.tickbitesupply.com sent my cousin's Dragunov style SKS stock.. looks badass, but a goddamn pain to assemble (without tools and at 1230 in the morning, by hammering it on the floor of an upstairs apt)

With tools and not in an apt at midnight, should be a snap. He got the recoil buffer, stock, scope and mount for 130 shipped.

Tapco has an interesting aftermarket stock available. It is based on the AR stock.

I have bought Yugo SKS's from J&G and theirs were pretty nice. I got mine handpicked.
I am also ordering a pair this week from AIM.

If you want to put a Tapco aftermarket stock on a SKS you're going to need to play the 10 part game regarding imported parts. Most people go with sksman for their USA made mags, but their quality is dubious.
