Best way to start is taking a look at some other landing pages. Create your own with a simple product that interests you, or you that you see others are currently doing (acia) and apply to a network.

Lets them know of how youre going to be getting traffic (PPC, organic etc) and you'll most likely get accepted.

Start doing a shitload of trial and error :o

Well that's atleast how i started learning everything

The more mainstream ones will get you accepted pretty easily and usually has a ton of offers.

Take a look at Commision Junkie and Maxbounty

There's also Neverblueads which is pretty nice.

They'll most likely give you a call before accepting you, so make sure you have an idea of what general product you're interested in marketing, how you'll get the traffic. Your budget and how much time youre willing to invest in this.

ShareASale and ComissionJunction are pretty good to start with... or you could do niche affiliate marketing, such as join a bunch of web hosting affiliate programs and then create a web hosting blog and put them up on it.
