Any suggestions? How much does it cost these days to print digital pictures? I dont like the idea of using a photo printer and buying paper n all that. Someone told me Target does it?

i use http://www.deviantprints.com/ but you have to pay a setup fee and everything is controlled through http://www.deviantart.com/ which is a turn off for some people. however, you can get your own work at cost, which is pretty cheap. for example, i ordered a 20x30 print for about $15.00 and was very pleased with the quality. it was extremely close to how the image was designed on my pc.

deviant art uses http://www.ezprints.com/ or so i hear, but i have not investigated them. if it is true that deviant art uses them, then i can vouch only for the quality, not the service.

i have also used http://www.zazzle.com/ but found them a little pricey. however, you can setup an account for free and mark your stuff private so nobody else can order the stuff. good if you want to limit the number of prints, etc.

Sounds like you'd rather go with a "Bricks & Mortar" place rather than online... correct me if I'm wrong. I've heard good things about Wal-Mart and Costco... both supposedly use the Frontier processing system, so the digital files basically go through the same printing process as dropped-off film. This means you have to wait just like you would with film (like 1 hour), but the results are great and the price is cheap (like 26 cents per 4x6 print).

Walmart and many other places also have the instant-print stations, these use dye-sublimation printers for good quality, instant prints, but are usually more (like 50 cents or so for a 4x6 print). Quality on these vary, some are near-photographic, while others are not quite as good. I'd suggest if you wanted to go this route, shop around and try some out at different stores and see which one gives you the best results. But in most cases, these devices are best for a quick print or two, if you have dozens of prints you want to make the drop-off method will save money and give you better results.

To add to the instant type print outs....I goto Kinko's and they have a Sony machine and I've been very happy with the results. Everyone I've showed them to thinks the quality is outstanding as well.

most walmart, walgreen, cvs, costco, etc stores have fuji frontier printeres... which is what most everyone uses.

you can however generally get better deals online...

www.shutterfly.com offers your first 15 4x6 prints for free

www.ofoto.com offers your first 10 4x6's for free

www.snapfish.com offers your first 10 4x6's for free

all of them require you to pay shipping, which is less then $2 in each case. my suggestion, sign up for all 3, get your free prints and see which company you like, and / or sign up again w/ another email addy and get more prints for free
