GUN where to buy 1911 recoil spring?

    I've been looking online for the last two hours trying to find a god damn 22lb recoil spring.

    where do you people buy parts like these from?

    I get most of my small parts from www.midwayusa.com as they will ship first class mail for cheap. Although there is a minimum order size, it's not that big.

    I'd agree with that too. IIRC 19 lbs are usually plenty in a 5" gun.

    16 or 18 is stock...no reason to change that unless you are an idiot or are a game gun faggot.

    i shoot 13lb spring w/ a recoil buffer

    can't use some factory loads though, cycles a lot quicker though

    Would that be good for a Colt Series 80 Gold Cup National Match? I'm not even sure what kind of spring is in it, it was modded when I bought it.

    it will fit any full size 1911- so yes, that gun it will fit

    thing is, you don't need to be messing w/ your recoil springs unless you're shooting +P, or you're loading your own ammo

    I got a set of 22# springs for my Kimber from Midway, I think they were Wolf springs. Seems to work nicely and they weren't a bad price if I remember right. Have always had good experience with Midway.
