where online can i buy a pre-Flashed xbox360 Dvd-drive...

    my friend gave me his broken 360 and all it needs is a new drive (wont read disks). Now i already have a banned 360, so im looking to buy a Pre-flashed drive for the broken one so i can get back online. anyone know of any sites that sell this... also im in Toronto Canada if it helps.. but ill buy from the US if needed.

    you can buy a new drive but it can't be "pre-flashed" since all 360 drives are tied to the motherboards with a unique identifier. You can make the change yourself once you get a new drive, but that's gonna be some pretty advanced stuff for you to do.

    There are plenty of people who can do it for you, but you'd probably have to ship out your box along with the new drive.

    You're either hex-editing and flashing with special hardware, or you're swapping out pcb's from the old drive and installing it into the new drive. Check out some of the forums for people who do 360 mods. Most people don't bother attempting this, since the cost of a new drive runs about $40 on ebay and there's a chance you'll not only brick the drive or the xbox, but it's also quite possible you'll get banned from Live....It tends to become less of a hassle to just buy a xbox. The newest units are more stable than the ps3's.
