I'm curious as to what everybody's main source of traffic is?

Also, have you ever "bought" traffic? If so, from where and how did it go?

Google & Digg have sent the most so far this month, but I have a few others who've sent 1500+.

I bought traffic for a porn TGP once. It's worth it if you want to feed link trades.

It's not worth it if you want conversions. Organic traffic is the best. Work on SEO & viral marketing. :)

    I don't fully understand digg.

I've been getting lucky so far. My PR shot to 5, and my Alexa has dropped over 5mill in the last couple weeks.

My main source comes from a proxy list site, and my second main source is from cleangirls:bowdown:

edit-was reading it wrong. My main source says direct. The above applies for the link exchanges

60% of my traffic on one of my sites is organic (comes from google searches.)
the other is backlinks from forums/blogs/newssites etc.

It's only really beneficial if you run a blog/forum. :dunno:

Nice - Some of my other good sources = nutsintheass/ilovethefishes/2g1c/2g1f/etc etc etc etc.

I still get the most from google, though. :o

Ive bought traffic in the past from traffic sites theres alot of crap traffic out there the only place that sent good traffic for what I wanted has since disappeared :(

Also back in the day we used spam traffic it worked quite well obviously the click rate from spam to click is horrible but these places sent billions of messages.

Organic traffic is the way to go, but getting it to go viral is another matter something I work on quite abit.
