I'm looking for a new ankle support and quickwraps as mine are beaten and tattered. So I was hoping you guys could vouch for something that's going to hold up a little longer than 3-4 months.

That's where I got the stuff originally, but I'd like better wraps. I think I'm going to get the TKO quickwraps

I have cotton wraps but they're really a pain, and not worth it IMO

    Handy lil wraps.

That'd be a left hand. Fingers through the holes, then wrap the bottoms and velcro, then across the palm and you're done. Feel just as good to me. My cotton ones wouldn't feel right unless I got em really tight, then they'd stretch and become useless

I have to get the extra long wraps, otherwise I can't wrap my hands up tight enough, and I tear them up faster. The small places usually don't have the longer wraps.

Just remember to do your laundry, and you'll be cool.

Yeah, they're neoprene or something. With a gel padding for the knuckles

You should learn not to use wraps and pads.

    Mouthguards are always nice though

    Why bother with them though?

If for some reason you ever did get in a real fight on the street, you gonna tell the dude, "Hold on, let me put my wraps on":greddy: Then you hurt yourself cause your used to putting on pads and wraps and letting them absorb instead of your body.

Best way is to build calluses and inner joint strength.

If you get in a fight on the street, you're not gonna trade shots with eachother for an hour. I DARE you to try a boxing drill with me wearing no wraps... I fucking DARE you.

You can make it through an hours' worth of heavy drills wearing no wraps? Have you honestly ever done that?

I've actually never taken boxing, so I don't quite know what your drills are. Maybe, maybe not.

The point is to try and try without wraps and pads, and keep pushing past the point of hurt. Your body is smart. It will take action and build protection of its own.

uhhh the joints and bones in your hand can only get so strong.

Boxing puts a crazy amount of stress on your hands, well i guess it's depends on your training, but any decent training regime, will tear up your knuckles.

no, it's about doing things the smart way. Considering how hard boxers punch, tearing up your knuckles, then continuing to train for 4-5 times a week isn't going to benefit you in anyway.

Even with handwraps, my knuckles still get raw and red, i'm not saying i'm the hardest puncher in the world, but considering how much punching we have to do, and how hard we have to do it, handwraps is a very good thing to have.

scared to get hurt? its fucking boxing...

Thats the way I've always trained. Well, for the most part. I didn't start that way right off the bat.

My body is getting a lil more fatigued now because I've trained so hard and fought so much the past 16 years and the past year I haven't been keeping up with it like usual. I really need to get back. Thats the disadvantage to no pads or wraps.

    I average about 7-8 street fights a year since I was 16:o

I've been good this past year though. Only 2.:)

    Yes, I like to fight:hs:
