    At home.
I haven't had any reason (ie, a paying client) to need more than that.

Since I'm not too big into photography (yet) I just print them off of my HP 8200 series photo printer. If any of you are near a Staples there are some locations that are using a Kodak printstation (or staples printstation.. same thing) and if the location is using the printstations they are offering 20 free 4x6 prints. Not too bad and it is printed with Kodak printers and paper.

I do my digital prints at home on my Epson R320.

For film I use Wal-Mart if they aren't important and I'll use a local mom and pop shop for the important ones because they do a great job.

Walmart and Sams Club have good Fuji printing machines if you are doing 8x10s and up

Much better than any inkjet shit. (although I do have an Epson Stylus Photo 2200 for smaller prints.) I print with the espon at 2880DPI, and they come out pretty damn good on matte paper.

Nothing can beat true silver halide prints though. (like the people at the link above do)

where do you go if you want a real print? Not 4x6 but 13x19 or something decent sized?

dye sub paper choices is like choosing a car color in the 20's. you can have any surface as long as its high gloss

and printing your own photos with professional results for less than a lab can do > *

They print matte :ugh: (and can also do canvas, etc, although I think canvas is printed on an industrial inkjet)

If you want glossy you need to wait a week since they only print glossy on tuesday and thursdays.

Their prints > the shit your printer does (although I am not bashing your printer. I have a 2200 and it kicks ass for smaller prints)

I am quite comfortable paying $9 for silver halide 20X30" prints.

have you seen actual samples? Untill you get more into prints you should stopbashing on ink jets. the new inks put the 2200 to shame, plus cost less and is much faster. I would take a print from my over a lab print plus avoiding all color management and cropping issues any day
