    Online that is...

My Kershaw Blur got stolen, Im looking to replace but it's hard to find in stores around here.

Also think I might pick up a smaller kershaw, any suggestions?

What do you all carry daily? Does anyone happen to know the knife carry laws here in MA?

    Thanks :wavey:

I'm currently carrying a Benchmade Mini Dejavoo. It replaced the Kershaw Blur I lost on the side of I-95 one night helping a friend :(

I've got the kershaw blackout. It's pretty decent for what it is, and I carry it everyday.

It's got the TiNi coating which shows marks quite a bit, but it's not too bad. I beat the crap out of it, and it still works.

Yeah, I guess any kershaw with a black blade has the TiNi coating.

Titanium Nitride coating is gold. Is that what you guys are talking about? If its black, it could be Titanium Carbo-Nitride...

I deal with TiNi coatings as an engineer. I can tell you that is not TiNi its probably TiAlNi or TiCoNi. Either way they are better because they have a lower coefficient of friction and they will go through the enemy easier because of that. Also the melting point for this coating is about 3000C and it oxidizes around 1000C. Its not used as edge retention in a knife but it is worth it to prevent the blade from oxidizing. It costs about 1$ to coat a blade that size assuming you paid to do maybe 200 at a time. So the knife company takes the rest for profit..

Most of my more recent knives are from the Smoky Mountain Knife Works. They have a website, but I've never used it. Their retail location is about a half hour from where I live. It's the fucking coolest store I've ever been to, "Worlds largest knife showplace".

I'd get another blur. I love mine  One of my favorite things about it is the real thin profile which is nice. Here's a pic compared to a few other kershaws:

    It's classified as "weapons".

They're classification system is horrible though. For awhile VictoriasSecret.com was blocked due to "Revealing Attire." :ugh:

But even work blocks most knife/gun sites.

He lives in the North, it's just different there.

When I lived in IL I carried a pocketknife to class, when people would see it I'd always get a :ugh: face and a "why do you have a KNIFE?!"

Now that I live in TN, no one bats an eye. In fact, I'd say 75% of the people here carry a pocketknife (including the girls :bigthumb:). First week of class one of my teachers asked the class to borrow a knife and just about everyone got theirs out  Damn I love the south

    haha, awesome.

If I got caught with a knife in class I'd end up with a big fine from the school. :greddy:
