Where did you start?

    How much were you putting up on major lifts the first time you ever did them. I'm talking 1rm.

    I benched 160, squatted 160 (not deep either) and deadlifted like 220 :o

    This was in highschool, sophomore year! Startlingly average :(

    Where did you guys start? Were you already a beast before you lifted or were you a puny weakling like me?

    The first time I walked into football starting sophmore year of HS I could only bench 115, squat 135 and deadlift 185.... a bit better now :o

    First Squat: 135. Probably not even close to parallel.

    First Bench: 70lbs, touch and go, one foot in the air, hit the uprights, uneven extension, anything else you could imagine wrong too. I still remember this lift.

    First Dead: Don't remember. I think I waited a while before deadlifting, probably did 205-225.

    benched and squatted (1/4) 90 on the smith. my DL was 135.

    probably benched 135 4 times.
    didnt know what the fawka squat/deadlift was back then. i was all about chest/biceps with my highschool homies

    Yeah that squat and deadlift happened like one time and then i was focused on upper body only.... mainly bench and biceps and triceps.

    bench 65, deadlift 95, squat 95


    1.5 years later


    im hitting 245 for reps (bench), pulling over 400 for reps (dead), and squatting in the low 300s

    sophomore year in high school started weight lifting for football. was 15 years old, 6' tall, weighed 260lbs. bench was 165, squat was 315 no depth, dead was 315 also. spent quite a few years growing up doing farm work and humping cinder blocks.

    Same here..

    Benched around 135 as well, and never did a squat or DL.

    I DID do leg presses and calf raises, but that was it. I don't even remember what my lift was on that. More because I liked the machines. :o

    you guys are lifting alot comparatively...
    @ ~150-160 I squatted 95, benched about 85-95 max when I first started working out

    5'7, 118 out of high school

    went to the gym for the first time in my life with my roommate a few months into my freshman year of college. i could bench the bar a few times, but putting 10lb weights on there (65lbs) and i couldn't even control the weight.

    i couldn't curl more than 10lbs DBs either.

    dont even get me started on triceps. i didnt even know there were muscles on the back of your arm.

    i also remember trying to squat 95 lbs, and falling down after rep 4 or 5.


    but fuck I COULD SEE MY ABS

    i've never seen my abs till about 2 months ago and i'm 23. i can see the top 2 with the proper lancerlusion effect. :rofl:

    I can't even remember. I couldn't even do a single with the plates when I first started. Put on a lot of mass quick though and was easily doing them within a couple weeks.

    6'1 170.

    I started at my house. I used all dumbells and my bench began with 30lb DBs in each hand :o

    Just yesterday I was able to get up 85 x 8 :bigthumb:

    DL: didnt know what that was
    Squat: maybe 135...didnt start squating right away
