say I want to give an article a ton of diggs but i want to use a different IP address for each one. How do I do that?

Is there an easy way to find and use proxies? I need like a noob guide that explains things. I found a couple guides and sticky posts on some forums but I had no idea wtf they were talking about.

    thanks.

use a program that rotates proxies for each http request. use google for all your researching needs.

Just do what I used to do, my screensaver network allowed remote page calls while the ss was running. Just develop your screensaver network and deploy a bunch of Miley Cirus screensavers. Then when you want to digg an article, have the SS's make a call to that page url.

This network is available for a nominal fee.

I'm sure both of those posts were full of very good advice, but I don't understand how to do either of them

what does "rotates proxies for each http request" mean? :hs:

Ok, there are two types of proxies, ones that are web based and the others that are IP based.

A web based proxy is a http site that you enter and it will ask you to enter the address for digg etc and you essential browse through iframes on their site.
For what you want to do, this is unrealistic.

    Do this...
Get FF if you are a faggot and dont already have it.
Get a FF proxy tool to switch proxies easily...
    http://www.mozmonkey.com/switchproxy/ or something similar.

Then import a list of proxies/ports for you to use from sites like this...
    http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html

    Then Digg...
But... problem with this is that you require a Digg account for each digg, so a proxy is only half of the solution.
Figure out how to script the digg account thing and post back here with the solution. :)

    Of course I use FF.

Script the digg account? I have a macro that I create Yahoo email accounts with. Could that work for digg?

Hide my ass has 2 services..
1- Web based proxy, will only work for 1 digg as it is just one IP. (Wont work)
2- List based proxy, which is the same as I outlined above. (Will work)

make a macro that changes proxies automatically for you and clicks on your digg articles. (macro express) is a good program.

Keep in mind the digg algo is probably going to prevent a story with diggs only from 200 newly registered accounts with no history from getting promoted. You can use it to get off the ground, but it won't let you hit front page.

Is there any way to make proxies go faster? I've been trying for the last 46 minutes to open mail.yahoo.com. It keeps saying cannot display webpage.

I've tried a couple proxies. I connect to ip.cc or something to make sure they worked, and then I go try to create some yahoo email accounts or whatever but it takes F O R E V E R to load. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I just choosing bad ones? I'm picking US based ones that are not corporate IPs. Is it best to avoid corporate IPs (many of the proxies on lists are corporate) or are they fine to use, too?

Those proxy IP's are usually always slow.

Not really, proxies are always heinously slow. You could try tor, has similar purposes but I'm not sure how it is speed wise.

Is there any reason I shouldn't be using the IPs that are labeled as "corporate"?
