i shot one today, and its fun for a plinker. i cant find them anywhere online though. anyone have one for sale or know where to get one? no 9mm, only the 7.62x25 tokarev. they are pretty cheap i hear, but some idiots on gun broker are wanting like 500 bucks for one :ugh:

Keeping check the auction sites and for sale forums. I'm sure they use to be cheap but since there banned from import now I doubt there quite as cheap.

Just get a romanian TT. J&G has em. If you know a dealer you can get them from SOG for alot cheaper.

Why not just get a CZ 52? ~$130 bucks, shoots the same round.

    cz's are shitty as hell.

i picked up a RUSSIAN 1943 dated tt-33 today... lots of proof marks all over it, got a pretty good deal on it as well. have to order some ammo for it now also.

I saw one of these (Type 54) at the show today for $259. At least it looked like one, not sure if knock offs were made.

The firing pin can break if you dry fire it, and it could possibly break when you fire it, but really, what can you expect from a 50+ year old, $120 gun? Companies make new firing pins for them, but I've never had any issues out of mine.

new firing pin for $35, installed in all of about 3 minutes and the gun becomes absolutely flawless, with a better trigger pull than stock

    :dunno:

i personally love my CZ... very crisp trigger, never had a single failure, accurate as i can be.. :dunno:

feels extremely solid. i just wish it had a push-button mag release
