I'm looking to shoot something more than paper :(. Local range only allows cease fire every 15 minutes therefore I would need something that self resets. Halp WMD.

You might want to make sure your range allows metal targets. The one I shoot at is paper only. I just set up a bunch of targets so I have something to do while waiting for the muzzle loaders to take their 2-3 shots. :squint:

The only time I actually shoot paper anymore is to sight in my firearm. After that, its all steel.

The only problem they say that the targets should be shot at 100 yards and up. They recommend an angle at 100 yards.

You never want to shoot a target straight on. (Insert YouTube .50BMG ricochet video). At my local range, they have target frames that allow you to hang plates from.

The setup is similar to this:

    But much larger.

Are the plates just made out of plain steel? Or is it something more uncommon? I would like to get the stuff to make a string of swingers and knockdowns, but i dont want to get your normal everyday material and end up getting shot in the face.
