anything but wolf military classic, shot those once and fucking thing sucks!
What are you doing wrong that makes Wolf 9mm suck?
I buy it by the case whenever I can get it for $200.
so i'm not alone in my wolf ammo hate. (i've only shot about 2/3 of a box but that was enough)
and yeah good luck, the only cheapish ammo is at walmart and it's like finding gold to see anything in stock.
Just because there are two retards in the same village doesn't make them any less retarded, guys.
Wolf 9mm is the shit, especially out of Glocks. I'm not trying to bench it for groups. I just want to get my costs down.
lol, all i know is my beretta didn't like the wolf ammo. maybe it's awesome for everything else but my gun wasn't happy at all
How didn't it like it?
yea, did it call it mean names or something? spit in it's food?
The important thing is that his Beretta looks nice.
It came into his home and disrespected his famiry.
my wording is probably not correct but it stovepiped (i think that's what ya call it) 1/2 way ejected but would catch in the slide instead of jumping to freedom like smart shell casings do lol. never had an issue before or after that box of ammo, may be a 1 bad box deal, i don't know but i've been avoiding wolf since.
and yep, my beretta is pretty, and i have shot the living hell out of it with zero issues with exception of the original magazine being shitty and the issues with 1 box of ammo which has never happened again.
my glock isn't pretty, but has had no issues but then again i haven't fired nearly as many rounds through it as i have the beretta, A: i haven't owned it as long B: 45 acp is just too hard to find and too damn expensive so it doesn't get as much time out of the house as some of my other guns do, poor little guy gets left at home all lonely
then again everyone seemed to miss the part of my post where i said i have no issues with glocks reliability and i think they are great guns. (just not pretty )
While my glocks can fire wolf ammo, it does not group worth a shit for me (10 shot 6" groups at 25 yards.) For me the accuracy of the wolf centerfire pistol and centerfire rifle ammo are unaceptable. Honestly I feel this way about most bulk ammo including wwb. The one bulk ammo that I've had good luck with is blazer.
Now wolf 22lr on the other hand is the good stuff. My 22's like it more than the federal, eley etc. The wolf slugs are pretty good, does not say reduced recoil but it is. I have since moved on to hotter stuff winchester sluggers/super x 1600fps.
Yeah, yar, it's definitely just plinking ammo. Which is why you can get it for like $180-$200/k.
The reason the Wolf .22LR is good is because it's made in Germany by the same factory that either makes the Tenex or Eley shit.
i can get* WWB for $200 so i buy that instead of wolf
*at least thats what walmart USED to have it for, when it was in stock
lol I bought WWB by the case when I was able to get it, they had it for $18.97
Federal was $18/100 or so we grabbed a k of that on Saturday I think
i have a little over 900 rounds of 9mm left, but i want to get another case.
and another case of either 55gr .223 or M193
and a case of 7.62x39
well if it's the same stuff I'm thinking about with the laqurerd steel case it is harder on your extractor and really puts a lot of crud in your chamber and edge of the feed ramp. With the WWB at least you got some good once fired brass to reload. It might just be me but I think the velocities are really inconsistent from lot to lot.
oh btw Dynamic Carbine I is April 10-11
My walmart has 100 round value packs for $16.00 but your limited to 6 boxes. Again you have to be luck with your timing to get it. If I see some when I'm get shotgun shells I always pick up 6 boxes to resell to the poor newbs who don't reload yet.
The stuff I have had for the last two years or so isn't lacquered - I think that the malleable steel used is marginally harder on the tool steel extractor, but, with the money you save by shooting it, you can afford to replace the extractor. I chronoed some of the Wolf I had about a year ago - it was better than Fiocchi and some reloads I had bought from Miwall but not as good as WWB, Federal, Speer or Hornady.
i had like 6 or 7 FTF in a box of 50
this was in a glock 26 btw
wolf black box .223 never gave me any trouble though, maybe the military classic ones are just crappy, i'll try black box 9mm next
Could have been a bad or weak batch.
I'd give it another try if you can't find anything else.
not "cheap", but not too bad
