when you guys bench, do you change the width of your grip?

    when I start i align my pointer fingers to a mark on the bar, for the next set i move my arms out about 1 finger in length. i do this on my 5x5, i hit each finger once, and then my middle finger twice. anybody else do that, or am i just :greddy:

    I like to just feel it out and go. If I get too serious about lining up the cross hatching It feels too methodical.

    depends on what area im targeting.

    if im going pecs, wide grip
    if im going arms, close grip
    if im just wanting to bench, somewhere in between that feels the best (in which case i may move after each set)

    stick around in the middle of the spectrum then, or do close grips and wides along with ur standard bench although not necessarilly on the same day.

    For the past month and a half I have been doing extremely wide grip (wide enough tha I have gotten a few blood blisters from pinching my hands reracking) to see if I can focus on my chest a little more than my previous relatively close grip.

    I'm not sure if I'm going wide or narrow. I do more-or-less shoulder length, so probably somewhere inbetween. I'm going to try going a bit wider because my shoulders are getting a lot bigger but I'm not seeing much growth in my chest. :hs:
