I don't want to eat more because its making me fat (4500 calls per day currently). I switched to lifting 4 days per week hitting two muscle groups per day. Should I just eat more, or go back to working one muscle group per day? I think I finally have my diet right, but now i'm not growing anymore.

If you're eating enough, I focus on training. If the pounds on the scale aren't increasing, I up my intake.

You're right, because if I were eating enough to gain, since I'm not gaining, it would go to my fat gut. Eat more!!! (I didn't think it would be possible, but I guess I'm back to gorging myself again)

Lots of protein of course, and I eat more carbs early in the day, less at night. I'm eating 4 pieces of fruit per day, but kinda lacking on veggie intake. I don't eat much processed food. I cook twice per day, and eat lunch at a local privatly owned type establishment for lunch daily.

I've already gained a little fat, don't want to gain anymore (everytime I want to cut, something comes up in my life which prohibits that). Unfortunatly I hurt my knee, so I have not been able to squat, dead, good morning, or work lower body in general for over a month. 30-36 sets per session, 8-10 reps per set, one rep shy of tech failure.

then you're probably not going to get much bigger than you are right now :dunno: i've seen your pictures, you didn't gain that much fat. suck it up and stop worrying about a little fat gain, think about the long term results.

why don't you dial all your weights back by 25-33%, keep your routine the same and over the course of a few weeks slowly work your way back to the weights you're doing now. with 3 to 6 weeks of unloading you're giving your body some time to rest and regenerate.

when your unloading period is over you should be able to break through the barrier that you're hitting now.

if you want more info you can google "dual factor theory," "periodization" or "fitness fatigue theory."
