Lately, i've been keeping my arms perpendicular to the floor to make things easier on my Rotator Cuff. It feels better to grip a lot wider to me. Where do you grip the bar?

Pinky on the ring is close grip, index finger on the ring is comp grip. I try to do comp grip most of the time but will switch to close grip from time to time just to mix it up and to give my chest a break.

height/arm length plays a role in whether or not pinkie on ring is close/wide right?

For most powerlifters, p.o.r. is their close grip, index is comp grip. I know BB style close grip is waaaaay closer. Very few people don't go to max width unless they're tiny. I know guys 5'4" going comp grip.

index on ring. I also alternate full and half reps to concentrate on the pectoral workout.

If I have disproportionately long arms (i'm 6'2 with a 6'8-10" wingspan) should I be holding the bar farther out? And more importantly, in a meet, can I only bench with index fingers on the rings?

well, I would like to add that I change it up some times and go really wide, it's supposed to work a different area of the pecs, but I usally feel it more in the delts.

its nice playing D in basketball and for reaching shit, but it might have something to do with why my 1rm for DL is literally almost 2.25x my bench :o

I grip fairly close. My flexibility it quite bad and gripping too wide and then touching the bar to my chest really hurts. It's not inflexibility as in not being able to touch your toes, it's as in you can't bend your knee backwards... i think my chest structure is fucked

Index on the rings is the widest legal grip? Hmm, I always put my middle finger on the rings which feels really wide to me already.
