say you go out and shoot 500 pics. you come home, look through them, and 200 of them are blurry or don't look good for some reason.

do you delete those 200 permanently?
    or
do you always keep ALL of your photos, and then have folders for "ALL" and "KEEP" (or something like that)?

    just curious.

I used to keep em all too.

Then I realized I shot 35gig's worth of photos in 2 months.

    So I started deleting.

I usually keep all of my .jpegs, and save all the RAWs for the photos that are "keepers" or that I've processed.

I usually go through my initial lot in windows viewer, and kill all the for sure dead ones. Then load them up in photoshop individually and check em, and pick through what is left.

With my lack of photo knowledge i generally work with a 4:1 ratio. 4 shot, 1 keeper :( Sometimes worse.. alot worse

I always delete blurry ones... Do you really want people seeing your blurry pictures?

if 40% of my shots were blurry I'd either send my camera in for service or I'd sell it and take up knitting. :dunno:

seriously though, it depends on how they are blurry and what they are shots of. For example, if it's night shots with lights streaks I might keep them for future composite work, but if it's just fuzzy head headshots I'd nuke 'em.

I delete them, unless it's an irreplaceable, or holds special importance.

I usually get rid of them unless it's just a moment I wanna remember (doesn't happen much since I take a few of every pic). Were you shooting at night or something?

I'd jump off a cliff if 40% of my photos came out blurry :noes: so they'd never make it on my computer.
