Nice bike! Seems like you got a pretty good deal. Especially for being in California.

I'm not a huge fan of spending $700 for an aftermarket exhaust, but that that stock can has got to go. It's HUGE!

Also, I'd ditch the stock undertail. $150 or a hacksaw can clean that up nicely.

What are your plans for it?

I suggest getting lots of gear first.

Then take the MSF course if you haven't already.

Then just practice and take it easy as much as possible. I would worry about modding later.

 That's a hot deal right there then.

Get a pipe and frame sliders. Save yourself some money and just hacksaw the stock rear fender.

I'll never understand this mentality........ I buy what I want and what I like. I'd never think to post up "I'll buy what everyone else tells me."

the mx-1 suit is pretty nice I have a buddy that just got that suit he's decently happy with it. I'd check out some of spidi's suits. find a place to try the suit on make sure it fits tight then order it online.

the smx2 gloves blow. Held phantoms are really nice.

and for christ sake get a decent helmet.

don't worry about making it look pretty right away, no matter what you do the rash will stand out the most
