When is best to try to find my max lifts?

    On an "on" day before my regular workout? after my regular workout? (usually I'm too smashed at the end to even think about maxing) or on an "off" day when I'm totally fresh?

    I gotta get someone to spot me on the bench though, working out at home is kinda lame like that :noes:

    Just set aside one day and take your maxes, or do one each day.

    Why do you need to know your max lifts? Bragging rights?

    I just wanna know, I've never tried to find out my max lifts, and since my repped lifts have gone up like... 55lbs since I started christophers routine I'd like to check out what I max out at...

    I'm SURE it'll be nothing to brag about, especially on here. I'm a weightlifting n00b man, everyone on here lifts more than me.

    It's a good way to measure progress. If you started out benching 100lbs and then your new max is 150lbs, then you know how far you've gone.

    I usually do them after a warmup set or two on their respective day. Then proceed to do the rest of my workout.
