There are some exercises as I'm doing more sets, I can actually get several more reps in the second or third set than in the first whereas others my reps decreases as expected. This happens specifically in squats for me and lately I've noticed when doing delts. Does this mean I needed to do more warmup sets?
The second or third set seems to actually be a little easier...

An example would be a recent delt workout...
    single arm dumbell press
    left)
    30/10x2
    70/4x1
    70/6x2
    70/5x2

I'm asking why can I do more reps on the second set... or is it likely psychological?

maybe the high rep warmup set is hurting your second set

I'm the opposite with shoulders, they seem to fatigue faster for me than any other body part. If i do 35 x 10 , 55 x 8, 75 x 6, i'll have trouble even getting 75's up again without a lift from someone, and then i'll be able to get maybe 4 reps.

my guess is that the nervous system isn't really 'warmed up' doing stretches and warm up reps so would take a set or two of heavy weights to get going fully
