Ive never really done any significant cardio in the years of training. I decided these holidays im going to try and work on getting leaner. But the thing is i dont really want to run a cut like say smb is me because i really cant afford to lose any muscle mass. Im about 200lbs @ 6'2' right now, i suspect somewhere in the mid teens bodyfat wise.

Would taking up 2-3 cardio sessions a week help reduce my bodyfat whilst not losing weight/muscle mass? Or is that bro science with no actual application in the real world?

I don't understand why you think that running would let you lose weight and retain more muscle mass than cutting calories. That doesn't make any sense. Either you're in calorie deficit or you're not. Make a 250 reduction in calories every week til you notice it working, then maintain that if all you're looking to do is lose some fat.

Maybe because he just wants to look good. You don't know his goals so don't assume he wants to look like Frank McGrath. He'll get loads more women at 6'2" 175-180lbs 10% than 200lbs 14%.

Maybe the wrong time of year to start this though bro
