I usually go through 15 cans per week. Is the Mad Hatter coming after me ?

Been eating large amounts of tuna for many years and now I'm hearing it's going to make me nuts.

Tuna becomes dangerous when you swallow a bone.

worry if you're a child or a pregnant woman. it seems all studies about tuna being dangerous are aimed at those subjects. i heard nothing about men yet.

yea it's actually pretty bad when pregnant women have it. their child could be REALLY effed up with high consumption of it during pregnancy.

i work for a dentist, and he stopped using amalgam fillings in the early 80's after running into some health problems. anyways, he bought a machine called the jerome 31X, and we use it to measure mercury vapor coming off of fillings and in offices where amalgams are used or taken out. outside, it registers about 2-3 microns of Hg. well in our office, we register about 20-30 microns. after removing fillings, we register about 70-80 microns. the EPA limit btw is like 10 or 15 i think, it just is not checked or enforced from what i understand. when we draw an air sample out of a mouth of a person with mercury fillings, we get anywhere from 5 to 300 micrograms!! and when we measure a can of tuna, its over 800 micrograms and the machine has to be cleaned before it can take another measurement. so on that basis alone, i really limit my intake.
