Based on past history, does anyone know when Intel usually drops their price?

I need to buy a PC, but can hold it for a month, just want to know if I should buy it today or next month. So lets say if it drops in Nov 07, then I just buy it now as it doesn't matter since I want to have my PC within a month from now.

    Thanks.

Intel just dropped their prices in late July.

So probably not in the next month or so.

I haven't read anything about another price drop coming this year at all. When the new 45nm cpu's hit, that will drive down the price on the current crop of chips, but those aren't scheduled to hit till early Q1 of 08.

    Usually Q1 or Q4.

The price cut last July was actually scheduled this October.
They just did it early to fuck with AMD.
I think the next price cut will be somewhere around April 2008.

It's hard to tell when exactly the next price drop will be because we don't know what AMD have exactly to offer, but it'll likely be 2008 as has been mentioned.

It won't be a suprise though, we will know it's comming weeks in advance.
