When did GM start placing the LS2 in the SSR?

    13s isn't exactly slow. Near two second improvement is nothing to scoff at.

    It's really just :gm luck:

    Dodge shows the viper, everyone goes nuts over it. They make it, it sells.
    Gm Shows the ssr, everyone goes nuts over it. They make it, and screw it up enough, and it doesnt sell.

    Pretty much. There's nothing wrong at all with an LS2 SSR. In fact I think a used one would make a great project/show car.

    My buddies father just bought a yellow 05 for a mid life crisis. :eek3:

    Told me it was lighter and faster with the new LS2 motor. Im a Ford guy and wa kinda impressed when he took me for a ride. Just not as impressed to go out and buy one though. :o
