people are saying that nobody in the weight division can beat him, Shaolin or anybody. his only competition is BJ, and that's if he comes down a weight class...

yeah I read that on sherdog. I personally think that if he did fight BJ again, he would win.

In his interview after the fight there were rumors of a rematch.:x:

Gomi is awesome, so much better than the boring 260lbs heavyweights (notice how i conveniently avoid including Fedor and co).

The lightweights and welterweights really are incredibly skilled and exciting, i actually look forward to their fights more than the light heavyweights and 185lb'ers. I think there is more technique involved and because they are lighter and quicker it makes for a good fight. Less cardio issues and less of the overwhelming strength monsters.

plus mma video games suck balls, they are terrible.

They might as well make a tekken like game, it's the only way imo that you can convey mma for a video game format. The current way blows, i rented the pride game and every single fighter was terrible. There is no way you can recreate the sudden ko's, submissions and turn arounds.

same goes with UFC's MW division, which is extremely stacked. granted, they're not as fast, but they still display insane amounts of technique, strength, and cardio. too bad the UFC doesn't have a 155lb div anymore...shrinks the pool for eligible international fighters. damn Americans and their need for brute striking

I loved the old Pride FC game for PS2, it was cool playing Saku vs. Royce, the croud really gets into bad blood fights, i hope they make a new one for PS3

UFC MW division isn't really that stacked, they've got good guys but none of them really have any inertia towards the belt apart from Loiseau.

After leben fights Rivera who is there to fight Franklin afterewards. That kind of sums up the UFC MW division at the moment. They got rid of lindland and terrel is kind of lost at sea at the moment.

Never played any of them (don't own a ps2/xbox/system) but I've seen some videos online of the game. It seems alright in that it has most of the moves that a fighter would normally do, but I definitely think they could improve upon the realism in the ground work.

OH and I can't stand Gomi, too much Hype. Everytime he fights I want him to lose, badly....violently, viciously.

For some reason, when I first read his post, I read it as saying the welterweight division. Now I go back, and sure enough, MW.

that and he's steamrolled through the top fighters in his division too. PRIDE's at least not pitting him up against weaker fighters to bolster his record and resume. if BJ Penn is considered his only challenge as up until now, i'd say that he deserves a hell of a lot of credit
