I've never been one to be OCD about lifting... I just eat clean, lift hard, get plenty of sleep, and I see results.

I've been reading some articles about carb cycling and most of them say little to no carbs post workout and another one I just read said no carbs before your workout and only the first 2 meals following your workout. I usually wake up some time between 8 and 10am and work out some time between noon and 2pm, have 2-3 small meals before, all with carbs, have a spoonful of honey + whey shake for PWO then taper off carbs as the day goes on :dunno:

It's more for personal knowledge than anything else, just wondering why some articles say no carbs PWO and some say the complete opposite.

there's really no answer to it. IMO the morning would be your best bet to get some fuel back into your body after sleeping. Then maybe before you're going to work out to give you some energy, then after you work out to replenish

Carbs pre-workout to give yourself energy to push yourself hard makes sense, and carbs PWO to replenish glycogen stores makes sense, and tapering off carbs as your day winds down also makes sense, which is basically what I do. But for different reputable sources to say something completely opposite just makes me confused :hs:

If I was naturally meso or ecto I'd go with simple carbs...but I can gain fat just by looking at a piece of candy, so I stick with complex carbs :hsd:

I just go with 2-2.5 g of carbs per g of protein.

*shrug* but I'm a runner, so I go for stamina/wiry-strength. Have to just avoid eating junkfood basically, and i keep balance between curling 50s and sprinting sub 12min 2 mi (weigh 145-150)

Oh, and usually my complex carbs come from sweet potatoes or brown rice.

    oats and gatorade, respectively.

been tempted to add more for pre-workout cause i've felt sluggish in the gym, but i'm seeing results in my cut. bitches love my 6 pack.
