when a girl refers to one of her guy friends as a little brother to her, that usually means she doesn't see that guy as someone she would want to be in a relationship right?

Yeah...hate to break it to you but that is far worse than being "a friend." I'm a girl BTW.

Yeah...because that happens all the time. In my 22 years here I've NEVER even HEARD of that shit going on.

To the OP, yeah, if you're called a "brother" you may as well be family. You are beyond friendzoned, but at the same time it means she really trusts you, and you can probably get a good word from her with other girls.

    .

If you're being called a brother you're way beyond the zone of ever getting into the shirts or pants. Don't ever try to be stupid and try because you will lose a friend ( and from sounds, a good friend )

I've been called the brother thing before. But that was just so her commonlaw husband :greddy: wouldn't see me as some sort of threat :dunno:

Only thing is, if the reason she's calling you her brother is because you are in fact her brother, don't get into a relationship w her.

Me and one of my best friends call each other twin and she often calls me brother, but I have a gf I plan on keeping for a long time and she's engaged, so yeah...pretty sure the girl wants to keep things platonic with you :hs:

Last year some chick that me and a couple of my guy friends were friends with said she thinks of us as her brothers.

A couple weeks later we fucked.

Moral of the story: alcohol can change people's minds.

I don't know the chick I was with before told me she felt like I was like her brother... but then she would follow it up and say

Is that what you want me to think of you as?

I said no how about a perverted step brother haha.

It's actually funny....there have been guy friends I've had that I knew I could date if I really wanted too, and if asked I'd say they were "like a cousin to me." I'm realizing now that that is still gross, but in my head it wasn't designating them to a sibling.

If a girl says she sees a guy like a little brother, it means that she has more than friend zoned him, at least for me.

For example: I had relationship that turned into a FWB over the summer and now we're roommates. I tell my current boyfriend that he's JUST like a brother to me.. and I honestly mean it. I could never date him because he acts like he's my brother [torments me, gets on my nerves constantly, etc]

I call my closest guy friend my 'big brother' and he refers to me a his 'little sister' .... he's 3 years older than me, takes care of me, is protective of me, and i trust him.

i guess the only difference between us and real siblings is that i used to have a crush on him a long time ago...but that was before we ever got as close as we are.

Yes. Typically you are doomed, unless something drastic happens. For instance.... my wife and I were Friends/Cousins (Flip thing)/like brother and sister throughout middle and high school. I moved 1000 miles away for 4 years, came back for a visit, and the "familyzone" boundry was erased/forgotten. Generally.....you are not dating material for one reason or another in her mind. Kind of funny.... because after years of saying we were cousins..... had a little bit of explaining to do with our friends.

Exactly the type of question I frequently encountered.

No..... just a label she gave me going through school. We are both of Filipino descent... and in our experience, common practice is to label close family friends, or good friends as cousins, uncle, auntie.... etc.
