    litterally. before I pay a doc to get an answer, was wondering if any of you had any advice.

    it's like im half way constipated. i shit each day but just have a hell of a time doing it, and am never "cleaned out." i get between 25-30g of fiber a day. high protein, low carb ~65g of fats.

    tried using probiotics, that seemed to help at first, really it just gave me the shits though. and only a couple times. for the most part i stay full.

    fuck, what an awkward thing. anyways. any suggestions would be great.

    High protein diets can make shitting take forever.

    not true... I was eating 300-400g's of protein a day and shitting 3x a day

    Throw more veggies in your diet. Also, might want to try Flaxseeds, they make me pretty regular.

    i get a solid 3 cups of veges a day.

    and im not sure what the fuck changed.. been eating the same way for months now. and it just started about 4 weeks ago.

    i used to shit 3-4x a day like frank :(

    I might just be retarded, but I recently noticed when I got sick, even though I ate the same, I would shit a lot less.

    Have you ever added ground pysllium husk to your shakes?


    i've found that sometimes - even with 30g throughout the day, i need a meal a day that's just 10g of straight up fiber, especially on high protein days

    i get mine at any bulk drygoods place. I'm sure costco would have it.

    you can also get refined psyllium, which is what metamucil is

    25-30g fiber is nothing. thats the RDA. 50g of protein is also the RDA...

    so multiply the fiber x many times your are taking protein of the RDA

    I was taking 7-8 grams/day of psyllium husk capsules and 3+ liters/water and shitting clean.

    When you first start taking pysllium husk take half the recommended dosage. When I first started I took a normal dosage for 3 days and kept getting more and more constipated. Finally I took a shit that felt like I was squeezing a kid out. Not pleasant. Also eat more green veggies, spinach helped me to stay regular more then cauliflower, peppers and onions.

    I buy the cheap stuff from Walmart, the sugar free metamucil brand is like $7 for 140 servings
