My sister, who has had lupus for years now, has just discovered she is allergic to wheat products (and oats, barley, etc.) and cannot eat that. Her diet is already fairly poor because of her health condition and she has recently lost a lot of weight.

I am here to ask f&n for your help, what kind of diet, that is free of wheat, can help my sister put on some weight?

well she needs to be on a gluten-free diet...you can find tons if you google...nuts, dairy, soy products, potatoes, meat, fish, rice...pretty much anything that doesn't contain wheat, spelt, triticale, kamut, rye, and barley. best wishes to your sister

I found these at Kroger (and at the local organic grocery store): Barbara's Bakery wheat-free oatmeal animal cookies made with organic oats and barley, and they taste pretty good...
