    I read an interesting blurb today about this and figured it would be a good idea for a poll because frankly I had not thought about it.

    I lean more towards the first choice.

    edit: I'm also curious to see if there are any real debates about this in the bodybuilding community.

    I wouldn't think so... anyone know how much and what type AAS guys in this era took?

    they used gh, but it was the kind extracted from dead cadavers, and it was very risky because one can develop a rare form of tumor, which is what did in Lyle Alzado.

    Wouldn't GH been far more expensive at that time? Especially for bodybuilders, who aren't in a very lucrative sport. Lyle Alzado, being a football player though would have certainly have been able to afford it...

    Wasn't there speculation that it was AIDS that Lyle contracted. And easier on his reputation to attribute his illness to steroids.
