Big Fish for me. I saw that movie without hearing or reading anything about it. I liked the whole point of following the main characters adventures and the relationships he formed, even though it kinda copied off Forrest Gump.

Edward Scissorhands is what i voted for, but i love Big Fish as well. the cinematography in both were outstanding. i love his ability to make a scene look like a board game. vibrant colors on a flat background with suddle images.

ps. you forgot Mars Attacks :hs:

I voted for Pee-Wee, but Big Fish and Edward Scissorhands are tied for his best, IMO.

I think Pee Wee was his best because it seems almost impossible to make a good full length movie out of such a limited and strange character, but Burton more than pulled it off.

Actually they're all good movies, with the exception of Planet Of The Apes. Making all the humans on the planet capable of speech totally took away what made the astronaut unique, and fatally damaged the movie. It was a huge letdown. I couldn't see Burtons love for the material in the final product.

I didn't really like Mars Attacks in the theatre, but I enjoyed it the last time I saw it on TV.

I haven't seen three of them (bad pixie) but out of the ones I have seen I had to vote for Nightmare. I have to watch it twice a year, at Halloween time & Christmas :o

I love Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish & the Batmans (of course) & liked the rest I saw... Nightmare just goes that extra step for me....

i loved Sleepy Hollow...don't know why. I met Burton once in Cali - he was with his entourage...he was cool and talking to everyone. He's so good at what he does, but man, that man must have some creepy f'ing dreams.

    1) Big fish, made me bawl like a litlle baby.
    2) Edward Scissorhands, what a great world he creates.

I know Big Fish came from a book, did Edward Scissorhands too?

nah, it was written by Burton and Caroline Thompson (Addams Family, Secret Garden, Nightmare Before Christmas...etc). originally it was written as a musical...i'm glad they changed it :o

It's not really accurate to put Nighmare on there, Burton didn't direct it.
