what's your favorite kind of folk/ethnic music?

    By that I mean the stuff that's not playing on the radio with the formulaic hook used several times throughout the song, usually around 4 minutes long, layered and produced in the studio by a 'team', and written specifically for the club.

    Lately I've dabbled into arabic/jewish music where it's really stripped down to what we're used to used to, and it really emphasizes the talent of the singer and usually the one instrument accompaniment.

    I also thought this mongolian throat singing sounded pretty sick :hs:
