What's wrong with my Jeep?

    I have an 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2wd 4.0l.

I noticed a ticking/clicking sound that speeds up as I go faster. It almost sound like there is a piece of metal stuck in the tire that's hitting the ground as the tire turns. I first glance I didn't see anything on any of the tires and nothing looked out of the ordinary along the drive shaft.

Could this be something wrong with the differential or maybe tranny? :dunno:

probably a rock or nail in the tire ..... have a friend drive the vehicle around a parking lot while you walk beisde it, figure out where the noise is coming from and then report back with mroe info.

It turned out to be a huge nail with a big round flat head on my back right tire. Can't believe I missed it after looking over the tires 2 times in 2 different places. :o
