Suzuki is making a WRcar bassed on the new Swift.

And Pugeot is switching tire manufactures to Pirelli. And getting a special contract deal for special services and exclusive help. Looks like Subaru may have some tire problems soon. :sad2:

    Nothing.

They have been acused of (which is completely true) of their Super 1600 team being a factory team. So...im glad to see them moving into the WRC. Unfortuantly, i think their biggest rival will be Skoda. :hs:

That has been said for years.

But when we have "vetran" SCCA Pro-Rally drivers, who have some middle-top end amature drivers from teh British Rally CHampionship (BRC) come over to the US, on roads they have never seen, in an EVO 6 they shipped over last week and drove once in a parking lot, bairly prepped, and kill the factory Hundai Tiburons in Open class by nearly 25 seconeds, it becomes brutally obvious that the drivers teh USA spawns in rallying, are completely incapable of compeating on the world level.

ANd you can go kill yourself.

They are not underpowered...granted they could use more power...but if 300 BHP and 680 lbs ft of torque isnt enough for you, youve got problems.

I think that has more to do with the rally culture over there. I would think that US drivers would be much more competitive if the sport had more exposure and was more popular, rather than the "veteran" drivers having only heard about the sport and starting competing 5 or so years ago instead of their entire life.

My future son will be one badass little kid.

Reminds me of the Porshe commercial where the kid is playing racecar with his green beans and mashed potatoes.

I think there are probably a lot of potential wrc american drivers out there. They just don't have the start up money to be able to get going. My mother I honestly believe was one of them. But even though she won a couple of club rallies back in the 80's, no one would give her any type of sponsorship and many people would see a team name with a male and female and think my dad was the driver and that they names just got switched places. Too bad, my parents simply didn't have the cash to keep going.

It needs to be made more available to people so more will try it so we can uncover talent. But that simply doesn't happen here.
