whats the story on new diesels in the states?

    A 730d'd be great, probably high-20s/low 30s MPG highway, but sloooow. not american. :p

    The honda 2.2l diesel is a nice lill engine, IIRC it's around 140 HP and gets high 50s on the highway. Hopefully we get it here.

    If they sold a diesel hybrid, I could buy one and laugh with dark pleasure every time I drive past SUVs at the gas station.

    Hell, even my Passat gets good enough mileage that I only fill it up every other week. The Suburbans can't do that.
