What do you think?
I don't think so.
Obviously not. That's why I used the mamory smiley, to imply sarcasm.
probably a sniper
no one ever uses them
nope they are leaving their tanks and doing infantry patrols.
BUT depends on what weapon system you are on. You may be humping a stinger with the infantry.
If you could guarantee you would be assigned to a gun crew, then artillery. Esp missile artillery.
PLUS the iraqis have RPGs.
i think RPGs are going to have more than a little trouble penetrating an M1 abrahms
Our Scouts got used alot in afghanistan.
we have 25U's on the line with the companys that go out with them.
the stinger is no longer a standardly used weapon by the u.s. army very few if any are still used
If you looking for a safe job join the boy scouts
UAV pilot, that's combat related
wrong. there have been multiple occruances where an RPG pentrated an m1 abrams and a bradley. my buddy said on the bradley it came thru the side flew inside and out the otherside without detonating. there also one that hit and penetrated a m1. they arent sure what they were last i heard but it was some type of rpg with a special head. maybe they know by now, that was like a year ago or so
It's about time to upgrade the M1's again
i duno we dont have M1's here
Acutally I have seen bda reps (photographic + textual) of some sniper damage in Iraq.
I know 4 Marines were killed when the driver was shot and the tank drove off the bridge.
yeah well the handheld stingers are not really used, however there are air to air stingers from choppers and the Hummer Avenger system uses stingers.
The Army has no use for artillery in Iraq, it's a freakin city where people live. Artillery guys are doing alot of infantry jobs. Same with MP's.
