they had 16 last time and only 2, maybe 3 of them are viable competitors currently in the ufc seriously. (nate diaz, gray maynard, cole miller).

the rest are too small or still too raw to be in the ufc 155.
    -corey hill
    -manvel
    -lauzon
    -wiman

it seems like this show is designed more for the wec 145.

I think Joe Lauzon is a good fighter he still needs some work though but he is up there. Manny, wiman and hill I agree with you they need to ship their asses out.

j-lau needs to sharpen up his kickd and bjj a bit and he's tiny when you put him in there with clay, roger, stevenson, bj, sherk, tyson.

    he belongs at 145.

Slightly off topic, I find it really hard to get interested in fights that are 155 and under. BJ Penn is amazing to watch because he's such a freak, but generally speaking I just can't get into divisions that light. Maybe it's because I never expect to see knockout punches (I know, Lil' evil and I guess there are a couple of other examples of famous lightweight bangers). Yeah they're fast as hell, and you can see a lot of great technique, but for some intangible reason I've never been able to get as interested as I am in middleweight fights, light heavies and heavyweight fights. Anyone else feel the same way?

some of the best fights are at the light weight classes. leonard garcia has heavy hands for 145. and miguel torres is exciting as fuck to watch, but there wont be any KOs with him.

light weights are fun to watch because the go crazy in the ring. the fights are so fast paced but really welter weight is the best weight class to watch. every ones as fast or almost as fast as the lws but you still have people with ko power.

is that much different than the other divisions? usually only 2-4 good fighters come out of every season, except season one and maybe the reunion season

word. a few always make it out and further their careers. as for the rest...i watched every season and i can't remember most of the people that were on show.

it is true that no one that competed on TUF at 155 has really left a mark though. no titles won... no one really in contention even.

Gray and Nate are close, it's just that they started later than the rest and they are in a stacked divison

yes it is that much different.
none of the guys i mentioned will ever hold the 155 title.

however, season 2 has 3 guys that could be champ.
    rashad, jardine, stevenson.
and alot of other guys from that season are solid competitors in the ufc or still making viable name for themselves elsewhere.

wow, i didnt realize how bad season 6 was. the only quality guy on that show was danzig. ugh.

agree, it's a problem with TUF in general. The format of the show means most guys are fighting at least one weightclass bigger than they should be. Except this years 205s all seem pretty big, but that might be because the rest are so small.

i figure its because the show has to be more of a "walking around" weight, since youre only given like 2-3 days notice of when youre going to fight and then fight again 2 more times within a 6 week span.

vinny & bader could be solid 185ers.
krysznondoiwendoiwendtof sosinoinfoitoisky is the biggest 205er on the show, not sure if he could get to 185.

do you remember what Rashad (I'm a fan of his by the way) looked like right after the show? he almost lost to Sam Hogar

    Forrest lost fights as well

guys like Maynard could potentially hold the title, I would argue that if you look back he "was" much more likely than Forrest to get a title

also Cole Miller is good, but no one is talking about him for title contention as he didn't make it to the finals or anything

there's also Mac Danzig as well, you can say he wasn't on the LW seasons but that was just because of timing

Wiman also beat Thiago Tavares, which is pretty impressive

I think you are way off, historically the worst TUF division is HW by far and large

that's the only one that is pointless, which is exactly why they haven't done it in years

danzig is too big to compete 3 times at 155 in 6 weeks.

maynard doesnt appear to be trying to evolve and improve his game. so far it looks like hes content to be the wrestler that smothers people.

cole needs alot of work on his striking, same with diaz. and diaz also needs better wrestling.

Danzig can make 155 pretty easily I imagine, he's only bulked up (a bit) recently
