I think if you recently bought a mac you only have to pay $10 to get leopard.

1 month within the OS's release. And you have to send your old installer discs back.

why? if it's own it's supposed to be out in 3 weeks why not jsut wait and have it come pre-installed? better than buying it, then 3 weeks later forking out another $130 (or downloading it) than having to sit there and re-setup your computer...

From all the betas we've tried and the numerous meetings we've had with Apple, I don't see anything all that great about Leopard. There are some decent new features but nothing special.

I tried the beta and wasn't that impressed. I thought it was nicer, but to me, it doesn't seem like a major upgrade.

Because playing the waiting game with electronics is always stupid....you will always be waiting for the next new release. ESPECIALLY for software where you can get it for "free". Also IF it get released in october 29th, you can always get a free copy of leopard if you purchased your mac now.

Because it is meant to be a minor update. Nothing but a few extra apps and a polish of the new UI....but saying this in this forum will get you killed.
