I gotta buy a summer jacket cause someone jacked the cheap squidtastic Icon mesh from my garage, strangely leaving the $400 A* leather one that was hanging right next to it. I haven't bought new gear since like 2005. I need to be brought up to speed on the latest & greatest gear buzzwords. Fack wearing the non-perf leather when it gets 100+ degrees out.

ive got a Joe Rocket Honda textile that i wear. not too shabby in the summer heat here in FL. plenty of armor in it too. kidney/spine/shoulder/forearm. fits good and is pretty breathable.

The insulation is ok if you wear a sweater underneath

What I meant to say is that its not that bad to ride in the cold if you have a sweater on underneath but then again I live Texas

everything will depend on how you go down.

i had a A* airflow mesh and kakis when i went down. NOT A SCRATCH ON ME, i actually reused the mesh jacket next season, had about 3 holes on the side, integrity was fine. but what did i walk away with at the scene? 3 torn ligaments in my right knee...yeah, i plopped on the pavement, thanks caprice classic.

now granted if you slid, i could understand leathers holding up nicer.

if i plan on doing spirited riding, i'll wear leathers, but if its a quick jaunt to the store or whatnot, i'll be in mesh gear.

riders discretion. watch out for other motorists.
