I've been out of the detailing loop for a while since I've started another job. I am planning to order some new stuff tonight so it can get shipped tomorrow. I was thinkin about ordering SSR 2/2.5 and some pads. If there is some new stuff that is the new hotness, tell me!

The Optimum line of polishes are getting very popular. They do not dust like the Poorboys and can be worked in longer. The Optimum Compound and Polish are a great combo.

What he said. I have used them some and totally love them. I will getting myself somemore of them.

Right now my staples are DP's polishes (9.99 on sale at AutoGeek) and Menzerna.

That's a good one stepper, polishing plus protection. Just click optimum on that page and try the polish, compound, and hyper compound (that's the order from least aggresive to most aggresive).

I got a sample of Cerious Compound from Ron at Autoint. Pretty good stuff, cut seems in between Optimum Compound and Polish. I can get Optimum delivered to me locally though...

    Dam i'm confused
I reread it, I can get what i suggested but I can't get the "Compound (as needed) > Polish > Poli-Seal > final wax or sealant if desired" you suggested?

Can I use the one stepper? I just want a shine after winter over?.

Yes, you can use a one stepper like Poli Seal. It will clean, polish, and seal the paint. It was also leave the finish very slick feeling.

You can stop there and have around 3, maybe 4 months protection or top with a carnauba, Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett/Trigger or one of Poorboy's Sealants (they play nice with Poli-Seal) for more protection.

just would like to say that i wont be using poorboys natty blue anymore.

Waxed my hood with s100 on one side and poorboy on the other. Garaged it for 24 hours and then got a hose to see the beading. Poorboy looked like the paint was untouched w/ any protectant. while the s100 beaded like no other.
